Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions, and place the digits 1-7 once each in every row, column, and region. A digit in a diamond counts how many cells of its own region it "sees" in the row and column combined, including itself. Region borders block vision. A clue outside row or column N gives the sum of all digits up to the cell that contains the digit N (N is not included in the sum). The digits in that sum must belong to the same region and "N" must belong to a different region.
