Normal sudoku rules apply. Along thermometers, digits increase from the bulb to the end. The clue outside the grid indicates the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal (40). Digits on the blue line have an equal sum N (to be determined by the solver) within each box it passes through. In the centre box the two segments of the line sum to N separately.
